GPA Calculations

How is your GPA Calculated?

A student's performance is configured by using the grade point average (GPA). The value of each semester hour of credit is determined in the below chart: For example, a 3 credit course with a grade of A yields 12 quality points; a B yields 9 quality points; a C yields 6 quality points.

The GPA is computed by dividing the total number of quality points earned by the total of grade point average credit hours. For example, 15 GPA credit hours, all at a C grade, would earn 30 quality points or a 2.00 GPA (30/15).

A 4.00
A- 3.67
B+ 3.33
B 3.00
B- 2.67
C+ 2.33
C 2.00
C- 1.67
